Division One Flag Line

This weekend the Big Sandy Flag line competed at the Kilgore Classic. The ensemble of Alison Lucas, Anna Petersen, and Morgan Isaacs all made Division ONE ratings for each routine in which they were entered. Congrats girls.

State Bound Division One Twirlers

Congratulations to the Big Sandy Majorettes. They competed last weekend at the UIL Regional Twirling Contest. The ensemble group of Cassandra Jackson, Ivy Smith, Amber Beal, and Krystal Foster received a division one rating and will be going to STATE in the spring. Solo performances by Amber Beal and Krystal Foster also received division one ratings, and they will be performing their solos at the state contest as well.

FFA District Leadership Contest

The FFA competed in the Daingerfield District Leadership Contest yesterday and walked away with honors. Hannah South competed in the Senior Creed Division and placed 8^th out of 18. The Senior Quiz team was tenth out of 28 schools, team members were Justin Robertson, Whitney Gage, Becky Roper, and Nathan Keown. Congrats to the Junior Quiz Team which placed 3^rd out of 30 teams which will be advancing to the Area Contest this Saturday, that team consists of Hunter Denton, Tyler Vine, and Dalton Wynn. Bailee McDonald brought home the first place division jr creed speaking award out of 20 contestants she is also advancing to the Area Contest Saturday.
