2009 Junior High Model United Nations

The Junior High Students attended Model United Nations at Stephen F. Austin University on January 21st & 2nd.  The students worked diligently in writing resolution, creating maps and collages for the competition.  They represented the countries of Panama, Italy, United Republic of Tanzania, Lebanon, & Israel.  The following students held leadership positions in the various committee meetings Hannah South, Bailee McDonald, Jonathan Howe, Alison Lucas, Mollie Whitfield, Matthew Stanford, Deanna Blood and Lynzi Boriski.  Mollie Whitfield was the Secretary General for all of the Model UN. 

We received the following awards 2nd Place Impromptu Resolution Writing went to the delegates of Lebanon which included Madalaine Lane, Justin Sunday, Dillon Branson, Lynzi Boriski, and Deanna Blood, and John Caldwell received 2nd place Best Delegate for the Security Council.  We had a successful event and look forward to future competitions.
