What's Happening at Big Sandy ISD

Glaze / DeWeese Weld Their Way to Tulsa

Big Sandy FFA members Jonathan Glaze and Kyle DeWeese recently were chosen to participate in the Tulsa Welding School Competition .  Only 170 students were chosen across the United States and we are  proud to have two of them in the competition.  They performed a welding test that included all phases of the Shielded Metal Arc Welding Process.  Jonathan and Kyle along with three other Big Sandy FFA students have been accepted in the Tulsa Welding School Master Welder Program.   They will leave in June to start their training for one year.  Jonathan and Kyle both received a $500.00 scholarship awarded to them at the competition.
